I’m so excited to announce a special project I’ve been working on for a while.
Amazon has been going through a beta program with serialized fiction app called Kindle Vella. It’s where you the reader pay per episode to read a book as I write. Popping in and out as you see fit. I see this as the perfect space for the reader who doesn’t have a lot of time inside of his or her day, and just wants to get through a chapter while on their lunch break. We all have busy lives after all.
Now, I know isn’t your website about the metaphysical and tarot?
Well Yes you are correct it is. However, its called ” Witchcraft and Writing” for a reason. I always, always have been writing fiction and non fiction it doesn’t really matter. I just love writing.
I’ve written on and off for years with independent magazines that are online publications. I think as my website is concerned there is room for witch craft and romance writing.
Love is often a spell we place on others after all and our words can be our most powerful spell work we do.
So, as I move forward into serialized fiction and the publishing world, I’ll be coming to the blog to update you all on the journey and sharing it there. I’ll still be posting about tarot cards and witch craft don’t worry. But, my more creative adventures will also find a home here too. As they should. I hope you all enjoy the journey with me. As my blog readers you all will get the first 5,000 words here to enjoy and then after that you will have links to Kindle Vella with teasers to what’s coming up next.

This is a letter to my readers to open up about my real life events on things that are happening with me and honestly where I’ve been these last several months. I didn’t drop off the face on the earth on purpose. I promise. Life as just been more complicated then normal.
The past few years the month of July has not been a good month for me. I honestly feel like it’s giving me a lot of depression because of it. July of 2020 I suffered a still birth of my daughter. July of 2021 I suffered a missed miscarriage and had to have a medical abortion because my body would not pass what was left. I was devastated. I kept thinking, “Why me?” “Why can’t I get this right?”
I was older at this point, I’d already had two successful pregnancies and went through two successful births in my early and mid twenties now in my early thirties this was no longer the case. I wanted more then anything to experience motherhood again and in the darkness of my mind, I felt as if I never would. Like I was doomed to be broken forever.
It was horrifying and I felt like I was trapped in an endless cycle I seriously could not get out of no matter how hard I tried. I felt like I couldn’t trust my intuition anymore. I began to live in my shadow self and ask questions of my craft, my spirituality and my darker parts of my ego really started to get ahold of me.
I would think “If, I can’t trust my body and what’s going on how can I tell my clients to trust their physical bodies?”
“How did I not know? I’m supposed to be a psychic medium.”
The reality is logically neither of those experiences were my fault. I did everything right as best as I could. But, it still happened. Unfortunately sometimes what spirit/the universe has to show you about your womb and the journey to motherhood is that it is not always easy. It’s not always everything you wanted it to be.
As a result of this I really struggled to get back into the swing of things, mentally, physically, as a psychic medium, as a writer. I’d over extend myself, start projects I couldn’t finished. I had zero balance in my life, and I myself was in inward shit show, even though it looked like I had it together.
I found myself taking a step back, no longer was I hustling on social media to be “seen”. I had zero desire to be heard even on issues I was and still am passionate about. So, for the past seven and a half months I’ve been quite. Growing on the inside and the outside. Looking at things for myself and truly trying to align with what is supposed to be for me.
Going forward I’m making an effort to be more present on this site. To also present to you guys what it’s like for me as a tarot reader and writer on this blog. The realness. I hope you enjoy this and find some of this relatable and follow along.

So, how does Kindle Vella work?
Amazon has taken a stab over this last year with a slow and steady roll out of serialized fiction writing. Think of other platforms like
Radish, Wattpad, and Dreame.
The platform itself is about a year old and some readers still don’t know what it is. It’s small bite size forms of fiction or non fiction writing what ever you are feeling at the time that the reader pays for via tokens purchased through amazon.
The reader is buying each individual episode as it comes out, which is a pretty interesting concept because you are reading as the writer is writing. These days people don’t have hours to sit down and read a whole book. This is perfect for the busy mom on the go or worker who only has a thirty minute lunch break to work done.
I’ve personally been a reader on the kindle Vella platform for a while. I’m honestly enjoying the ones I’ve crowned. You can give your story that you are reading an extra boost in the amazon algorithm by “crowning” it and voting it your favorite. As a form of reader interaction. You can view these stories and my own kindle Vella on the kindle app found in the app store for android and IOS devices.
What The Dark Left Behind:

This Kindle Vella is about a girl trying to not only hide her supernatural abilities but spends her night time hours slinging tarot cards outside a strip club trying to make rent every month. Living with her alcoholic and abusive mother, Elle wants out of this world. When she runs into new pack alpha Rain her world is turned upside. Rain who has enough on his plate sees Elle as his mate, his one true love he can not and his wolf will not let him live without. But, war and distrust is looming in and around his pack. Can Elle and Rain freely give into their growing lust for each other to get it right? Or are they both doomed from the start. Only time will tell. There was a time I was brave and self published my first work of poetry on kindle unlimited and I loved it. I wrote this first collection of poetry in a time I was going through a self discovery of sorts.
Let me describe to you what I was going through. I was having a spiritual awakening and at the time poetry was kinda hitting it big in the publishing industry. So, I decided “Hey, why not give it a shot.”
I got rejected ALOT, I think it was like 100 plus times traditional publishing houses thought my stuff was garbage. Honestly, after so many rejections, I kinda low key felt the same.
However, I didn’t let it stop me. My writing has always one hundred percent been a passion project and I just want it to reach the right people. So, I decided to self publish it through amazon. Do I make tons and tons of money? Hell No.
However it has reached the people it was meant to reach, that which I and thankful for, it was impactful, I had a teacher friend even use my book as a way to teach poetry that breaks all the rules, which was fun.
Publishing a book is kind of like having a baby, you wait for it to simmer a long ass time and then bam baby is ready to come into the world. It’s painful but beautiful at the same time and it’s also fucking strange because it’s the deepest darkest parts of you. I took this first collection of poetry and tried it out on a new indie publishing plate form which I’m actually very excited about called “kindle vella”.
It’s serialized fiction and non fiction, amazon is giving away 200 tokens to people who sign up and the first three chapters are always free, to help let the reader know if this is something they want to read or not. People have had a “word of the year” for a while now to keep them on track with their new years resolutions. I originally was not going to have a word of the year. I wanted to say “fuck it” so badly to everything to do with starting over and becoming a different version of myself. The truth is no one really becomes a “better version” of themselves. We make promises a lot of the time we have no intentions of keeping.
Only the few hyper determined individuals really keep those “resolutions”. Most of us settle for try again next year, I didn’t want to do that to myself. I also didn’t want the expectation of failure for not following through to haunt me. So, I had said fuck you New Years resolutions while I watched my social media feeds fill with determined folks who wanted to start over. I just wanted and still want to slide into new years kind of slowly. Yes, I have goals with the year. But, if I’m talking about them too much I’m not actually doing them.
However, spirit or source whatever the fuck you want to call it always has plans to make you change you mind.
I went to my local grocery story and ran into this woman who was obviously not having a good start to her new year, the exchange went something like this:
Woman:
“I hate having to walk all the way to the end of the store to get something. Woman while aggressively pointing at store workers yells at them to get a manager, She proceeds to look at me who was unfortunately standing behind her. Not only did I have to smell her aggressive second hand cigarette smoke perfume I had to now listen to her. “Aren’t you bothered by this?!” She is equally yelling at me now to participate in being angry over nothing.
ME:
I said, No I’m not bothered by this, I’m bothered by you. You’re blocking the self check out line and I’d like to leave. It was in this moment that I realized what my word of the year should be if I was going to have one at all. It was going to be “unbothered”. I don’t want anyone stealing my peace that has no rights to my peace. If, they are taking it, then it is my fault. I’m participating in their shit show behavior and that most stop. I didn’t want to be apart of her shit show or anyone else who give me anxiety. I wanted to be free, relaxed and happy.
So, that is what I’m going to strive for this year, the year of being “unbothered”. Will this always work out? Maybe not, but I don’t have the pressure to radically change myself into something that will only temporarily work out, we are after all creatures of habit.
I encourage you to find your own word of the year that helps you become more of yourself and who you already are.

How are you doing? I hope this little snap shot finds you well and that things are going well in your life. Before you begin reading the rest of this I want you to practice getting your self grounded. Take a nice deep breath in starting in one, two, three. Deep Breath in and out.

Hey Readers and Witches,
Welcome to Blogmas Day 2.
Ha! Look at me keeping up with my blogmas schedule already. I’ve been thinking alot lately about gifting, but not gifting materialism to people this year. This year I want to give more of my time. It happens to be the most precious gift I have. But, I also want to be able to give people a little sense of peace. I’ve done ASMR podcast epsiodes in the past and people would always comment that they loved them, that the episodes helped them go to sleep at night and find some rest.

Welcome to another Blogmas post, and today I thought I would share a super fun (and easy) Christmas craft tutorial. This was inspired by a session that I hosted in my Disney society. During the term we held a craft and cake session at one of my favourite cafes in Durham (it’s called Hatters, and you can read about it in my post I wrote about my top 5 places to eat in Durham) and made Disney-themed crafts. One of which was a snowman and the best part about it is it uses mostly recycled material(s) and rice that we got from the zero-waste store I volunteer at, Scoop.
